At the University of Baltimore Merrick School of Business, we had such a great session with Ibrahim Dabo. He inspired everyone. One of the ways we like to describe our students is “fueled with purpose,” and Ib demonstrates this. Ib inspired everyone with his story about how he overcame adversity as a child, fleeing war-torn Sierra Leone, and then as an adult in the USA, discovering he had [moderately] severe hearing loss. But the great lesson was that in everything he does, his teachers at the University of Baltimore attested to this; he focuses on what he can do for others. So that in itself was a great lesson.
