Refuse the Smaller Future.
At 16, while living as a refugee, I dreamed of becoming a journalist. My applications were rejected, and some friends questioned whether my dream was realistic. But I refused to give up.
By 17, I had become an Africa correspondent for one of the world’s leading soccer websites. That opportunity opened doors to a journalism career that would take me into conversations with influential people across sports, entertainment, business, and public service.
In 2003, I created my own website, which grew into Ib Talk Online—a platform for sharing stories, interviews, and photographs that capture the people, experiences, and moments that have shaped my journey.
Looking back, my greatest lesson isn’t simply that persistence helped me become a journalist.
It’s that our present circumstances are not the full measure of who we are capable of becoming.
Today, I bring that conviction into my work as a leadership coach, speaker, and mentor, helping emerging and aspiring leaders recognize their potential, develop their capabilities, and pursue lives of greater purpose, influence, and service.
Whether you’re looking for a speaker who can inspire your audience or a coach to help you take your next step, I’d welcome the opportunity to connect.

As always, your articles promote positively needed uplifting testimonies which is a credit to your spirit.

Ibrahim is the consummate pro, with extraordinary attention to details. He creates visuals and news articles that one would expect to see in top national publications. My only hope is that Ib continues to assist the many good causes he encounters, but surely big corps will take notice of his talents. I’ve had the incredible pleasure of working with Ibrahim on stories for the Associated Black Charities and the American Red Cross, Chesapeake Region. He brings journalism to the ‘ideal.’ One gets the sense of watching a brilliant star pass by as he works.
