Why I Believe in Possibility
Hi, I’m Ib.
Long before I became a leadership coach, speaker, technology and communications leader, or advocate, I was a teenager whose life had been disrupted by civil war.
At 14, I fled by sea with my brother after rebels invaded our city. We lost nearly everything.
But I didn’t stop dreaming.
As a refugee, I pursued an unlikely dream of becoming a journalist and entered international sports journalism at 17. Years later, I built a career leading teams and initiatives across technology, communications, nonprofit organizations, and public service—while navigating hearing loss and other challenges along the way.
Again and again, I learned the same lesson:
Your present circumstances are not the full measure of your future possibility.
Today, I speak, coach, mentor, and serve because I want others—especially those standing at the beginning of their leadership journey—to discover that truth earlier than many of us do.
